Nobody Gets To Meet The Duke!

Mariel Hemingway

- She was sweet, worldly and audacious in the role of Meli in "CREATOR" (1985). We got a chance to watch it last night and still find it very charming after 25yrs.

Simply beautiful.Mariel stole the show and although her Filmography is substantial, I wish we could see more of her. Dr. Harry Wolper was a little over-acted as is usual with Peter O'Toole but you can't help but love the guy. Mariel's FACEBOOK page sez she's living in Mill Valley Ca. (she was born there). I love Mill Valley! It's in Marin County just over the Golden Gate Bridge. Very woodsy and upper class. Although it's been years since I've had a chance to visit, I love it there!

She once did a layout for Playboy Magazine so I decided to see if I could track down a copy for the Blog. I could only find the German version.

Miss Mariel was gorgeous!

Simply beautiful.Of course some ladies just get better looking with age, and here she is today at 50yrs old. Move your mouse over the picture (on the left) and take a close look at the larger version, still gorgeous!

Of course nobody gets through life unscathed and Mariel is no exception. She is of course the granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway as was her sister Margaux. I have no idea what demons Margaux had to face in her life but on July 1st of 1996 they became too big to handle and ended in suicide. I hope she is at peace. Here is a BIO on Margaux (CLICK HERE).

Mariel has played many gay or bi-sexual roles in her career and has formed "...big connection with the gay-and-lesbian community..." but sez she is not gay herself CLICK HERE. Well, gay or not she's a beauty and has taken up health food and yoga (CLICK HERE) and our best wishes go out to this truly beautiful woman!
